Suspect Who Imitated Uhuru To Carry Out KSh. 10 Million Con Has a Prior Murder Case Pending In Court

In 2015, it was reported that Joseph Waswa’s hearing in a case where he was accused of killing a university student failed to proceed to a full hearing. The case was adjourned after the prosecution asked for a fresh hearing date. The accused Joseph Waswa, who is now embroiled in a case where he conned Naushad Merali 10 million, was released on Sh500, 000 bail in November 2014. He is the owner of Club Etonia in Kimilili. The businessman was accused of killing Mitch Kibiti, a second year student at Mombasa University College on August 30.The deceased is the son of the chief officer for Public Administration in the county government of Bungoma. Abidah Ali Aroni at the High Court of Bungoma the defense council lead by Neville Amollo said that they were ready to proceed with the case but the prosecution asked for more time to allow the lead prosecutor to come back from an official function before proceeding with the matter. The father of the deceased said that he was happy the matter will finally be heard saying that he was confidence to get Justice from the court. Till now the court verdict has not yet been ascertained.
