Luo mummies shake booty to compete for top spot for Kisumu Miss Bum Bum 2018 edition

Miss Bum Bum competition has been held in Kisumu for the past three years. The regional plus-size beauty contest first made headlines in 2015 when judge Ian Mbugua was in the panel to chose the winner.

The event is an affair to celebrate fabulous plus-size women – the tall, skinny models that are popular on fashion runways are not wanted.

Miss Bum Bum is usually held at Club Da Place in Mamboleo, Kisumu. The competition has attracted many participants over the years as the the winners get crowned and awarded lucrative cash rewards.

60,000 grand prize

Miss Bum Bum 2018 edition was held on Saturday July 1st at Club Da Place. The winner took home Kes 60,000 while the first and second runners were awarded Kes 30,000 and Ks 10,000 respectively.
